Being a Pharmacist: Good for Men and Women
Statistics show that being a pharmacist is the most equal job for men and women. This interests me because I want to go into the field of medicine and this is useful information to me. In the article, it says, "Yes there's a small pay gap there, but can be almost entirely explained by some men working longer hours -- not discrimination." That's good because, who wants to go into a job where you get decriminated against just because you're a woman? not me. Goldin and Katz "Women with children earn less largely because they work fewer hours." This also supports that there's no discrimination because, if you don't as many hours, you obviously aren't going to get paid as much.
